Oh What You Can Hear in a Dressing Room!

If you know me very well, you completely understand how I can find something funny in almost any situation.  Well, yesterday was no different.

I headed out to the mall to find something to wear for our church directory portraits which were scheduled for last night.  Nothing like waiting till the last minute, huh?  I was in a large department store looking around and the sales lady graciously offered me help.  I assured her I was "just looking".  I found several things I wanted to try on, and she once again came over and offered to go ahead and put them in a dressing room for me.  I thanked her and continued to look.  After finding another option, I headed to the dressing room where she put the items.

Now I have to tell you, I find dressing room conversations interesting. I mean people will say the darnedest things, as if no one can hear them.  Sometimes I want to scream "You know we can HEAR you, right?" I have always been a very private kind of person, not wanting anyone to know my business, so i don't understand these types of people.

After trying a couple of things on, my phone rang.  It was C from our adoption agency.  Of course, I stop everything and answer the phone. She had some new information for me about the new situation we are considering.  She had already told us that this baby has been exposed to some drug use. So she begins to tell me some more details surrounding the situation at hand.  Now thankfully, at this point, the dressing room is empty. But somewhere between discussing money, meeting and smoking M-eth, the someone walks in the dressing room, the sales lady, I'm sure, because she was only there about one minute. After I finish my phone call and trying on clothes I walk out and she asks if anything worked.  "Yes mam, I think this one will work perfectly for my Church Directory pictures!"  You know she was wondering!

And if that wasn't enough, I proceeded to call J and talk about M-eth use all the way down the mall! I'm sure ears were perked and heads turned, but you know what, I didn't even care !!
