7 Months

This sweet baby girl is now 7 months old! Actually she is 7 1/2 months but I am just now getting around to taking her picture. She is changing so much everyday.

She now has two teeth, which you can see here.  The first one appeared in mid-May and the second one last week.  She covers them with her tongue when she opens her mouth so it is hard to get a picture of them.

She is "talking" more and more.  She makes the /b/ sound constantly which officially makes

her first word "Bubba"!

This face is hilarious. She is crawling around everywhere now.

She has started putting her hands up on her head like this all the time.  I'm not sure why, but usually her hands are up where her flower is on top of her head. It looks like she wants to be a ballerina when she does this.

I am amazed at how fast she has become mobile.  She is so observant and doesn't miss a thing. Determination should be her middle name.  She goes after whatever she sees - my cell phone, ipod, remote control, glasses, jewelry, and on and on.

Last week, Pumpkin decided to pull herself up in her crib!  So we had to lower the mattress so she wouldn't fall out.  She isn't steady when she pulls up and banged her head on the crib rails so I got a mesh bumper to go around above her regular bumper pad to discourage her from trying to pull up. For now it's working, but I'm sure it won't be long till she figures it out. I am working on baby-proofing the house. We have plug covers, now I'm looking at cabinet locks and baby gates. I can already tell she is going to be a complete 180 of Bubba.  I never locked my cabinets with him because he never offered to try and touch them!  And he was always (and still is) very cautious about things.  With Pumpkin, it's full speed ahead! So life is definitely about to get very interesting, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
