I Will Remember

One year ago today life got a little scary. I won't recount the entire story so to get details you can go here. I had landed myself in the ER only to find out I needed two units of blood and I was told that I could have been in danger of having a heart attack as a result of my anemia. Just two weeks previous we had decided to pursue adoption. And today I sit holding onto my precious baby girl. Who but God could have orchestrated all of that? I still stand in awe of the events of this year and the fact that He blessed us so.

Another date that weighs heavy on my mind is 5 years ago this week. My dad was admitted to the hospital and we heard news we never desired. I will forever remember the day the doctors told us he wouldn't live. Life changed forever in that moment. Thankfully, we were able to spend 6 months with him before the Lord called him home.

I am reminded of a song our choir sings that is precious to me. We first sang it last summer and I so remember that day. The song is called "We Will Remember". This song talks about remembering what God has done for us, even through the valleys. As we sang that morning, I thought of all the trials we have walked through and how He remains faithful through it all. And I was anticipating how we would see Him work again through our adoption. We sang this song again on October 31st. Little did I know that as we worshiped that day, our sweet pumpkin would be born that very day!

I could talk all day about His faithfulness but instead here is a video of the song. I pray that you will take time to remember as well!
