New Pictures

In a previous post, I told you that I have been brushing up on my photography skills. I have been planning a photo shoot with our little pumpkin since she was born. We had H's picture made at 3 months in his all white smocked dedication suit and I wanted to get one of her to match. I decided to try to take the picture myself and if I wasn't pleased, we would go to a local photographer.

So I began to search for an all white smocked dress. Well I did find one at a local children's shop that was stunning with pearls intertwined into the smocking. But I decided to wait it out. For one, it was pretty pricey. And if you don't know me, well, my middle name should be cheap. I just have a hard time forking over full retail price, especially when I know she will outgrow it way before we get the goody out of it, so to speak.

I have a friend who runs a local consignment shop and she told me she would let me know if she got one in. She did call me, but as it turns out the white ones she had were smocked in pale pastels. I bought it anyway and decided to still wait on the pictures to see if I found one somewhere else. Our town has a semi annual consignment sale and it was held last week. I went and guess what I found? Yep, a fully white smocked bishop dress, just as I wanted, and it was only $20! And it looked brand new. Of course, I found a lot more than just the dress. I actually came away with 4 smocked outfits and several other things as well.

Well, I got around to making the picture last night and here is what we ended up with:

She has started sucking/ gnawing on her fist like this constantly. Sometimes she will pull her bib or outfit into her mouth and suck on it. She is drooling like crazy. Could a tooth be in our near future?

I just love this grin. Her smiles are so sweet and her eyes just light up. Oh, it makes my heart so full!

Love, Love, Love this one. She looks as if she's just been informed of the towns juiciest gossip!

And I think this one wins out and will go up on the wall next to Bubba's picture. How sweet!

She is definitely more alert to things around her and responding so much more. She can now roll side to side, although she has yet to turn completely over, but I think it might happen this week. She smiles and laughs so much now. However she has one major dislike, her car seat. The poor thing cries about 90% of the time she is in it. The other 10% of the time, she is usually sleeping. One day we got into the garage and when she saw the van she started to cry! I am praying she outgrows it soon. But I will not complain because she is so happy go lucky otherwise.

I can hardly believe she will be 4 months in a week! The time is flying by! Our weather is warming up considerably- in the upper 70's today and I am so thankful not to have to bundle her up anymore.
