J had his annual meeting and it just so happened that it fell on her birthday! I was so excited about this trip because she know who the characters are and I thought she would love it and I was correct!
We had her birthday lunch at Chef Mickey's, which was a hit! She got so excited when all the characters came in the room. She kept saying "Mama, Mickey!" "Mama, Donald!", etc. When they came around to the table she did get a little timid, but she came around enough to take pictures and love on them as long as I was holding her.
To be honest, I was on cloud nine! She was having so much fun, the food was great and I could hardly hold back the tears on occasion. I just became overwhelmed with gratitude for her life.
After lunch we headed to the Kingdom. We watched the parade and rode one ride and she was out!
After a little refreshing nap, we hit more rides, which she loved!!
We also got to meet several more characters. She was still a little scared when she got to them, but by the time we reached Minnie at the end of the day, I put her down and she ran to her with open arms and said "Minnie!" It was just the sweetest thing ever.
The next day we hit the Kingdom again for more rides and then headed back home late that afternoon. Overall, it really was a great trip. She was in wonder of it all, but had no expectations. I have a feeling it won't be that way next time!
