The Rest of the Story

Well, I suppose, I left you high and dry on the rest of the week! We were so busy, there was no time to write!

Wednesday afternoon, J finished his classes and we headed to a outlet mall I spotted near Wal-Mart. I can never turn down an opportunity to shop! Wednesday night we spent doing some laundry and packing up to prepare for our move to another resort. (The one we were in was booked up for the rest of the week when we made our reservation.) Although it was a mild inconvenience we were excited to experience another resort.

On Thursday morning, we loaded up and headed to Caribbean Beach Resort. We were able to check in although our room wasn't ready. We parked our van and hopped a bus for EPCOT. Hayden and Jimmy enjoyed lots of rides while Gelette and I sat and talked and observed people. The weather was great! High was about 80 degrees!! Gelette and I did ride Spaceship Earth. We toured part of the World Showcase and then decided to head back to our hotel around 7 PM so we could get settled in before too late. We ate at our resort and unpacked. Caribbean Beach was really nice. Hayden was dying to go swimming, but it was rather cool and I was not in favor of it. Finally, I gave in. He did not get to swim at the first of the week when we were just hanging out at the resort because the high was about 60. So is it rational that I let him swim at night at 60? Absolutely not. There is something wrong with the picture when people ( and there were lots of them!) are swimming and you are sitting by the pool with a jacket on! The water was heated - not hot but it was just luke warm, so he was fine as long as he was in the pool! He really didn't even complain when he got out, but it had to be cold!

Friday, we headed to Magic Kingdom. Another gorgeous day. Again, Gelette and I mostly sat, but did ride a few things like It's a Small World, the Haunted Mansion, and even the Pirates of the Carribean - which by the way has a "Small" drop. It was small, but I can't stand a drop!
We watched the Spectro Magic Light Parade and then waited for the fireworks. Hayden got impatient and wanted to ride more, so he and J headed off to ride while we waited and waited. The show was delayed for 30 minutes but was worth the wait.

On Saturday we slept in a little because we were exhausted. We ate lunch at our resort and then headed back to EPCOT. The boys wanted to ride the same rides again, so Gelette and I sat again while they rode the same ride about 5 times! We got to see the rest of the World Showcase, but decided to forgo the fireworks. It was especially crowded due to the Wine Festival and there was a little too much partaking going on around us!

Sunday we loaded up and headed to Downtown Disney again for a last shopping trip and lunch before heading home. We had a wonderful time, but we were so glad to be home!

I will try to post some pictures soon.
