From the Ground Up

Hello after a very long silent streak! December kept us very busy between Basketball, Christmas Parties and Musical, monogramming, wrapping, etc!

While J had some time off during the holidays we worked on cleaning out his parent's homes. We rented a 20 ft. dumpster which was delivered on Christmas Eve. By New Year's Day we had filled it up twice! And that was only the first floor and garage of one house! Some days it feels like we will never get done.

In the mean time, we have begun some prep work to the property we have purchased. Our friend Michael ( and future neighbor) has been working hard to flatten out the land. It was neat to go see it after he worked on it because you could easily see our property line. We still have no idea how soon we will be able to start building. We need to sell his dad's property first. We have been looking at plans, etc, so we will be ready to start as soon as we are able. Here are some pictures of our lot. I'm sure you are soooooooooo excited to see pictures of dirt. (It's ok to jump up and down and scream) LOL!

We have also been very busy with Basketball. We have 3 weeks left to go! Yeah! (Not that I'm counting!) J has been completely in charge of the program this year and I will be so glad when it is over so we can concentrate on his parents houses. Hayden has done extremely well again this year. His height is a major advantage. Many times he just reaches up and grabs a rebound. The opposing team coach told us last week that they set up a play just to keep him away from the ball and they couldn't do it! Here I am looking forward to the season ending and we have to sign up for Baseball by next week! It never ends! I do enjoy baseball more than the other sports, probably because I understand the rules better! lol! I am really not complaining, I know that these years will go by so fast and I will wish I had a ball game to go to! I don't look forward to those days at all.
