The days just get busier and busier it seems. The house doesn't look a whole lot different yet. The painters are still working on the entire house. It seems to be going slow, but I realize it takes a while to do all that work. They stained my cabinets and for the first time since starting construction, I can say, I'm really not happy with it. It's not the job they did, just the color I picked is wrong I think. I'm going back tomorrow mid day to look one more time, but I am thinking I will ask them to redo them. I know that by doing that I will delay our completion and move date, but unless I see something different tomorrow, I don't think I will be pleased with that color. Oh well, better to get it straight now than to regret it later. I hate to tell them to change it, but I will. The bad part is that it is so much more than my kitchen. It involves my grand room, master bedroom and the study. That's a lot of cabinets to redo!
I have been working like crazy trying to get our house ready to go on the market. I have several boxes already packed and have cleaned out several cabinets and closets. There is so much to do! I wake up with my mind going ninety to nothing with what I need to do first. Just a few more weeks and it will settle down. Our tentative move date is Nov. 20th, but time will tell if that will work out. Pray that I will have very productive days over the next few weeks - I am feeling slightly overwhelmed!
