I hosted a tea party for 4th-6th grade girls at church. It was absolutely precious. They had a girls week at church and made hats for the party from newspaper! They were precious. The week culminated with a tea party. They dressed up and donned on the hats. A hummer limo came to pick them up and took them to an area botanical garden where I went out and took their pictures. It was so much fun. Then they came out to my house for the tea party. The girls are so sweet and were very appreciative. You could tell they felt special. I can't take much credit other than providing the house and some of the food. Others pitched in and helped and one very talented lady came in and decorated the tables. It was so much fun!
The girls all dressed up!
Love this sweet, crazy girl
Yes, this hummer came to my house!!

Then we had my niece, LG's 9th birthday party. I can't believe she is that old. LG has been the baby of the family, and that is exactly how we have always treated her. I am very responsible for spoiling her. Funny thing about LG is that she KNOWS she's the baby. When we started to approach the subject of adopting a baby, she didn't like it! She let my mom know that she was the baby of the family and that there WOULD NOT be another one!!! After a couple of weeks, she started to come around when we asked her to help us with the baby. LG handled her birthday presents so graciously. She took her time opening each one and was sure to thank each person. It was precious!
Sweet LG
This past weekend, some of my high school classmates came over with their families so we could do some reunion planning. Yes, it's time for my 20th reunion!! Where did the time go? Surely, it was just yesterday. Going through pictures from high school was so fun. We laughed a lot! There was a bit of excitement while they were here! The kids were about to go out to swim when one of my friends looked just outside and calmly said " UH, ya'll there is a S-N-A-K-E, out here". She spelled it out as to not alarm the small kids. But it didn't take but 2 seconds till somebody said "SNAKE?" It was small, but nonetheless still a snake! The guys got a hoe and killed it. Never a dull moment here!
S-N-A-K-E
Keeping an eye on the snake!
We are a step closer on the adoption. J's dad's clearance is being processed and has moved from our state agency to the F*B*I now. Our home study has been written up and she is just waiting on the clearance letter. Also, our agency has our profile book ready. We should get to preview it within a few days maybe. I'm starting to feel the end ( of this process) is in sight. Praying for our sweet one and her birth mom!
