Pumpkin's First Easter

Well, I've been threatened encouraged once again to update. I really do have a legitimate excuse. Earlier this week, we had a small storm come through and our power blinked a few times. Afterwards, we had no Internet access. So anyway, it has taken us 4 days to get it worked out. (Yes, the hubs works in the IT field, but you know the shoemakers kids never have shoes.) Turns out it was a simple fix, but I have to share a funny story about it. J contacted our Internet provider about our problem. They e-mailed him some instructions to his work e-mail. They also suggested he go online and chat with a tech support rep for further help. REALLY? Excuse me Mr. Brilliant, I have no Internet service. How in the world am I supposed to "chat" with you?

I have a confession. Easter almost stressed me to the max. Well not Easter itself, as I love celebrating the Resurrection. But planning for Easter. If you haven't noticed, I can be quite OCD on some levels. Co-ordinating our Easter Attire is one of those areas. And this year, it was especially important to me. I started searching for Pumpkin's dress in late February. I found one on e-b@y that I really liked better than anything I could find locally. With the multi colors on the dress I thought it would be no problem to get us all coordinated. The colors were pink, green and brown. Shouldn't be hard in spring, right? WRONG! Seems the fashion industry steered away from brown this year, much to my dismay! And the pinks and greens were bright and mixed with black. Ugh! Well, I got right down to the wire and finally got a dress on Good Friday, thanks to the urging of my good friend L. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but it worked. Whew, crisis (in my mind, at least) averted.
My boys are actually smiling! That never happens!

Trying to get a smile from her.

Us with J's dad

We had a wonderful day on Sunday. We did not attend Sunrise service because we felt it would just be too much for pumpkin. After an awesome worship service, we came back to our house for lunch with our entire family. We ate, took lots of pictures, and just hung out all afternoon. Some dear friends came over as well and it was so warm that all the kids went swimming.

Our extended family.

My babies. Be still my heart!

Behind the scenes... mayhem ensues while trying to get everyone together.

My beautiful nieces

Someone is not happy about the haul from the Easter Bunny! LOL!

And this my friend, is my sister. She can crack me up in a New York minute without trying. I was desperately trying to get the settings on my camera correct. While taking a test shot, she tries to strike the Marilyn pose for me. Somehow I think she missed the mark and looks like she needs the nearest potty but I love this girl to pieces. And just to show you she is certifiably crazy, here is another pose she threw me...
a pure nut, for sure, but oh, so much fun!
