Where We've Been

I just realized how long its been since my last post! Really? Time flies when your having fun!

Last week we took a quick road trip to visit family and friends and have a little fun. Our first stop was Aunt Shirley's house. She fed us a fabulous lunch of roast and all the trimmings and I can't forget her yummy yeast rolls. She knows that they are definitely J's favorite and always has them when we come. Better yet, she always packs up the ones that are left and sends them with us! We left J's dad there to visit with her and the family while we headed on to see friends in Atlanta.

Then we headed to the big city for this:

Well there was only one problem at the game. A major storm came through and after a one hour delay they called the game off. And yes we got wet, mostly our feet when heading to the car since we were wearing ponchos. So we headed back the next day to attempt to watch the game again.  We traded our tickets in for different seats and ended up at field level in center field.  Here was our view on Saturday:

On Sunday we went to church with our friends the Smiths.  This is J's best friend from high school and I just adore his wife.  This was our first time going to visit them.  Normally they come here a couple of times a year to see his mom. We always have the best time with them and this weekend was no different. Our trip was way too short and are looking forward to them visiting us this summer.

Pumpkin liked their new puppy, Gracie. I was so afraid she was going to grab a hand of fur and pull hard like she does on my hair, but they seemed to get along fine.

We are looking forward to a visit with more family later this week.  My aunt from Indiana is in town and will be meeting Pumpkin for the first time.  Rest assured, pictures will follow!

And as we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord,

From our family to yours,

Happy Easter!
