Summer.... Part 2

When Bubba returned from his week at camp, we left out for a week at the beach!  We were so excited to have some down time.  This year we booked a great resort that has an indoor water play area as well as a toddler splash pad and a lazy river.  Some of our best friends were also down there playing in a softball tournament, so we were able to spend time with them as well.

Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short by one day because Bubba's All Star Team advanced to the state level tournament.  We pulled out of the beach around 7 am, made a brief stop at home to pick up J's dad and Bubba's baseball equipment and hit the road again.  We reached our tournament destination around 1:30pm.

That entire trip was non-stop from opening ceremonies that evening, and games every evening after.  The tournament was being held in a very small town so we had to stay about 40 min out and travel back and forth each day, but honestly it wasn't that bad.  The boys and dads would head on over early for batting practice and the moms and other siblings, etc, carpooled over at game time.

Little Miss Pumpkin had a ball and was quite "forward" with the young men!

She loves "Watts"( her name for him) and held his hand constantly.  She would grab him by the hand and drag him around wherever she wanted to go.  One night we were visiting with Watts and his family in the hallway of our hotel. We eventually went into their room to say goodnight.  They played on the bed and she gave him a lot of loving. When it was time to go back to our room, she refused to leave. In all his wisdom of 5 years, Watts informed me that he thought I was just going to "have to pick her up and take her out of here!"  That little boy is a character for sure.  Anyway, the evening ended with Watts escorting her hand in hand to our room.  And then the fit of all fits ensued when he left.  They were so cute together.

But Watts wasn't her only man... She loved "CoCo" too!  And he was so sweet to her as well!

Our tournament didn't go extremely well and we came home after 5 days.  I have never been so glad to see home.  Bubba was really glad we didn't win the tournament as well as it would have meant an out of state tournament just a couple of weeks later.  He was relieved to be home as well.  I swore I wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon and quickly got unpacked and suitcases put away....

But then I learned never say never..........(part 3 to follow)
