We are winding down Bubba's baseball season this week. Bittersweet. I love to watch him but it will be nice to slow down the pace once again. Hard to believe that this school year is almost over!
Easter was a total bust at our house. After a week of J and I feeling cruddy, Pumpkin got the flu. So no church or family gathering for us. Bubba and J headed to church with out us and then ate lunch at my mom's. Normally we would gather at our house. Honestly, I was so disappointed that Pumpkin and I stayed in bed super late that day. I did manage to get one picture of her with her Easter basket, but no family pictures all dressed up in our Easter frock. Oh, well, I suppose we will try again on Mother's Day.
A few weeks ago, a very good friend of mine did some mini sessions with live bunnies. At the last minute she had a cancellation and we took it! Pumpkin wouldn't smile much because she was tired. (We skipped nap time to get pictures!) Anyway, Sabrina always does an amazing job and I love them! These are a few of my favorites.
Trying to keep her still was a feat within itself. The eggs would roll around and she felt it necessary to get them. She dropped the egg once and rather than bending down, she literally picked it up with her feet and Sabrina caught it on camera!

We went to a local park on Saturday for me to capture some photos to be on display at the reception. We had a blast. They always make me laugh.
I can't adequately express how excited I am for both of them. It's clear that they are genuinely crazy about each other. And nothing does this big sister's heart better than realizing this guy loves her baby sister to death. I am so grateful that God placed D in her life. He is an answer to some long standing prayers for sure and we can't wait to have him be an official part of our family!
As far as adoption news.. everything is on hold at the moment pending the upcoming nuptials. Our home study is now complete, so legally we are ready to go. We are still doing a little fund raising and expect to go active very soon. We can't wait to see what God has in store for our family!
