Big News

As I mentioned in our previous post, we were at complete peace about returning the twins to their mother.  It broke our hearts, but ultimately we knew it was the right thing for all of us.  We fell right back into presenting to birth moms, resting in the fact that God had a plan for us and we would keep moving forward.

Exactly one week later that plan unfolded.  All along this journey we anticipated a girl, and most likely a bi-racial or AA baby girl. We were completely open to whatever God had for us, but we thought that another girl would just be easiest.  So we literally put our YES on the table and asked the Lord to work in however he willed.  So just one week ago today He did just that.  We were matched with a full Caucasian baby BOY!  I have to laugh.  His ways are not our ways, and He has a perfect plan for us.

Our sweet little one is set to arrive next week.  He has been diagnosed with a heart condition, hypo plastic aortic arch, and will undergo surgery just a few days after birth.  We are excited and nervous all at once.  We know that God, if He so chooses, can absolutely heal him now while in the womb.  And we consider it no less miracle if that healing comes through modern medicine.  No matter what the outcome, there is one thing we know - this is His plan for us and we are resting in the fact that He is holding us all in the palm of His hand.
