Shopping and Stone

Today, mom & I, as well as my friend Laney & her mom, headed out for a day of shopping. Our main stop was aimed at a floral wholesaler about an hour from here. We each picked up a few items there; ribbon, silk flowers, etc. I got a couple of decorative items for the house as well.

After lunch, we made our way to an antique mall. There I found two of these Drexel chairs, which I think will be a great accent in my grand room. Best part of it was they were have a 20% off sale! If you know me very well, you know I loooove a sale!




After shopping, we headed to the house to check out the progress. They have started the stone on the outside. I have been so waiting to see the stone up... and I love it! Yesterday we drove over while they were working and I squealed so in delight when I saw it that it scared J!

They also began sheet rock on Thursday. They have the upstairs completely done. It feels so different with the sheet rock complete. The rooms feel bigger. Here is H standing in his shower area.

Everything is coming together so well. Our builder thinks we will be done by Thanksgiving and we sure hope so. The building process has been fun but I will be glad when there aren't so many decisions to make.
