Treasure Hunting

I've been scouring through some local antique malls lately keeping an eye out for "treasures". I am particularly looking for a couple of chairs with fabric seats that I could recover for the house. So far, I've had no luck, but have certainly enjoyed looking. Today, Laney and I headed to one of the antique malls and I came out with this:

A beautiful chip & dip set! I am ashamed to admit it, but after almost 16 years of marriage, I did not own one of these! On several occasions, I have entertained the idea of purchasing one, but never think of it while out shopping. Well, when we saw this today, Laney and I both were immediately drawn to it! And the best part... it was only $18! Just looking at it makes me want to throw a party!

House update: The windows and doors (except the front door) are in and the bricking has begun. The roof should go on next week as well. This is a picture of the first windows that were installed.

We picked out our lighting this week. Here's a sneak peek. This is for our dining room:

While we out looking at the house this week, Karley spotted this dove on our dormer window. It was beautiful!
