Well, I'm back! My surgery went great, well as great as surgery can go I suppose. I was very pleased that I had very minimal pain, which was kept at bay by some wonderful meds in my IV. My nurse seemed very impressed that I was doing so well. I was anxious to get up and meet my "requirements" for discharge. She didn't expect me to accomplish them all so quickly, but I did and she promptly went to get my paperwork ready while I finished showering and getting dressed.
I have felt pretty good since being at home and haven't taken any pain meds since Sunday at lunch. I actually feel a little ridiculous sitting around so much, but I really want to take it easy so I am completely healed soon. However, last night I had a temporary moment of insantity.... I ran through the house... so far it doensn't seemed to have caused me any problems though.
In my defense, I had a very good reason for running! J&I identified an adoption consultant group to work with about a month ago. They have a FB page and I became a fan. Last week they announced that they were approaching their 1000th FB fan, and would award the 1000th fan a $500 credit toward their services. If #1000 wasn't interested in adoption they could gift it to someone who was. Immediately I sent out a message to all my FB friends asking them to help us out and become a fan. It took several days, but Sunday they started approaching the 1000 mark. I was watching it constantly. ( I had even been guilty of checking on it during the middle of the night when I got up to take my meds!) On Sunday, we decided to set up a FB page for J, aka "Mr. FB is a waste of time". (although he checks my FB daily!) H started asking could he set one up too. I really didn't want him to have one yet, but we agreed so that he could become a fan.
When the fan page got to 988, I called my sister and got her, her boyfriend and my niece to log in and get ready to become a fan. We also called my mom and another friend who had been watching it closely for us.When it got to 993 we told everybody to GO! All of the sudden the count was at 1000. It appeared as though the last 6-7 members were friends of ours but we weren't sure. A friend called us back and said "Did we win?" I told him I wasn't sure, but I thought we had a good chance. About that time, J yelled from the study "A, come here quick!" So I got up and ran!!! When I got to him, he pointed to the computer, which said "Congratulations J***** P****, on being our 1000th fan!" J was the actual 1000th fan!! We won the $500 credit! I couldn't believe it! For us it was just another confirmation from God about our adoption. We can't wait to see what is next!

I hadn't check the FAC page in a couple of days and was SO excited when I read this today! Wow! God IS SO GOOD!!! It is amazing how he prepares our hearts for adoption and then gives such wonderful confirmation about the path that He is leading. We are continuing to pray for your family! Remember that I'm here if you need me for anything. Love ya! Sabrina
