This Thursday is the date for my hysterectomy. At first, I wasn't in the least bit concerned about it. Everyone told me it was no big deal. So last Wednesday when Laney had hers done, I was right there watching every step. By the time I went home that night, I was starting to get anxious. She was in pain and moving around was hard to do. I will spare you all the details and protect her privacy as well, but I was greatly relieved today when I had my pre-op appt with our doctor. I found out I am having a different type of surgery than she had. Mine will be the easy kind. Boy was I glad. I'm so sorry she had to endure that, though. He explained that our reasons for surgery were different, thus different types of procedures. Of course, there is always the risk that they get in there and it could be more extensive than they orginally planned, but he says that is a very rare occurance.
Hayden's first baseball game is tonight. Wish it were a little warmer, but I have my jacket and blankets ready. I will miss the next couple of games, so maybe it will be warmer by the next time I am able to go.
We had our first home study visit last week. I got all worked up and it was nothing really. She mostly gave us some paperwork and things we need to get together and a guide for writing our Life Story. So we are one step closer. We sent our fingerprints off 3 weeks ago, but we are still listed as "Waiting on Fingerprints" with the agency that processes them. We mailed them with a tracking number so we know that they have been recieved. I guess it just takes time to process them. That makes me nervous because usually the fingerprints are the hang-up on getting the home study complete. Its just one of those things you can't control. I am praying that they go through soon. Of course, J's dad's just got sent off last week so they will be longer I'm sure. Oh well, God's in control of it all!
Better get to the baseball field....
