Praying for Bubba's Confidence

So if you know Bubba in real life, you have laughed out loud already. This kid is so confident that he's almost down right arrogant.

Today is his first day of 8th grade at a new school, well sort of. He attended K4 and K5 there as well. We have home schooled for the past 4 years. So today begins a new journey in his life.

Where has the time gone? Here he is on his last day of K-5:

Hmmm, starting a new school in the 8th grade at that oh so tender age of 13... must be somewhat intimidating, huh? Not for this kid. He has been so excited. Of course, I expect this excitement to wain somewhere around 6:45 Tuesday night while he is working on homework! LOL!

A couple of weeks ago, I was checking up on his FB account, which I do periodically. I was intrigued by a conversation with a girl I didn't know and started reading. It went down like this:

Girl: Do I know you?

Bubba : Don't you go to (name of school)?

Girl: Yes

Bubba: Well, you probably have heard I'm going there next year.

Seriously? Where did this kid come from?

And here he is what he looked like this morning ready to grace the entire school with his presence. I am just sure the heavens opened up, stars shone in the daylight and a host of heavenly angels were singing as he arrived on campus. Ok, maybe not, but I'm sure it happened in his mind. However, I am just betting there is a girl or two who drooled today!
