Christmas Home Tour

Kelly and The Nester are hosting Christmas Hour Tours this week so I decided to join in.  Have I mentioned I love Christmas?  Well I do. (But I will warn you my house does not look like it came out of a magazine!) Normally I like to try to decorate the week before Thanksgiving, just so it is done and we can enjoy it the entire Christmas season.  Last year it was late going up due to our move in date and this year due to Miss Priss.  It took me a week or more to get the 4 trees up, but they are done.  Usually I like every room to have something but I decided that it would be ok this year to let some of it go.  (Aren't you proud of me?)  However, I did end up pulling out my village and a couple of other things this weekend in time to host our Sunday school class Christmas party.

Our Front Door

Had to get new stockings this year so the baby would have one to match ours. Found these at Target.

Our new ornament

Plate that sits on my kitchen counter

In my kitchen. I made the JOY frames last year. The Christmas card holder was made by H man
several years ago at church. I just adore have things he made!

Little Miss' tree

Tree in our hearth/family room

Mantle in the Grand Room

Big Tree in Grand Room. All these ornaments are either gifts, things H man made or
souvenirs from places we have vacationed.

My village is nothing special.  I had one or two pieces that I never really used but several years ago H man asked if we could have a village because he loved my moms so much.  So I got ours out and my mom picked up some extra pieces for us as well.  When he was younger he would play with it moving the people around and such.  He's outgrown that now, but it still warms his heart to see it.

And I can't leave you without this.....Guess who was Baby Jesus in our Christmas musical???

Raising her hand in praise as we sang.. how precious!

and guess who gave us some real smiles today???

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Life has gotten busy.

Great Christmas decorations. I LOVE you front door decoration and the matching stockings. Let me guess...you monogrammed them. I am sooo jealous.

I did notice that you hung up your mirror. Last time you posted living room pictures it was sitting in front of the fireplace.

Jesus is the reason for the season!!!!
